Spider Veins Removal

Removal of facial spider veins and skin tags

For prices and special offers please call 020 8905 5509. Other clinics are also available in Essex and Berkshire.

Removal of the small red blood vessels and skin tags on the face can be performed by a medical procedure, called micro coagulation.

Facial thread veins are not broken capillaries but dilated capillaries. They have very thin walls which constantly dilate and constrict. As we age the vessels lose their elasticity and can become permanently dilated. Contributing factors include ageing, pregnancy, smoking, energetic sports, temperature extremes, hormone imbalance and skin fragility.

During electrolysis we use a special machine that sends micro current through the facial spider veins or skin tags causing their immediate collapse. The tip of the finest probe (about the size of an eyelash) is introduced along the line of the capillary and a tiny energy current is discharged. This dries up and destroys the blood vessel, and it disappears completely during the treatment. Two or three treatments may be necessary, depending on the severity of the problem.

The cost depends on the size of the treated area.

Thread veins on legs- treatment with sclerotherapy.

Thread veins (also known as spider veins or telangiectasia) of the legs is a common problem, particularly affecting women. While these thread veins do not cause any major health problems, they may create discomfort or embarrassment.

Today a simple treatment called sclerotherapy is successfully being used to correct unwanted thread veins of the legs.

Scerotherapy is a procedure in which a practicioner using a syringe with a tiny needle, injects a small amount of a special solution directly in to the thread vein.

The solution displaces the blood within the vein, making it blanch or turn white. The solution then caused the vessel to become irritated and to close, preventing the blood from re-entering the vein.

The thread veins will gradually fade and within four to eight weeks following treatment some will completely disappear. Two to three treatment sessions may be required to achieve optimum results, and are offered at the reduced cost.

Patients who have sclerotherapy report little discomfort. Some experience a slight stinging sensation immediately after the injection, but this lasts for only a few seconds.

Most patients experience mild side effects but, such as swelling or bruising around the treated area which usually disappear within two weeks.
